Dear LP National Delegate,
Six months ago, I entered this race for your presidential nomination with one aim in mind: I want to live in a free society. I want everyone to live in a free society — a genuinely free society.
As your presidential candidate, I want to run a different type of campaign — a bold campaign — a campaign based on pure, 100 percent libertarian principles — a campaign of principle for the Party of Principle.
Democrats and Republicans, who are really just one crooked and corrupt party divided into two wings, have all the money and power in the world. But we have something they don’t have. We have libertarian principles, ideals, and sound ideas on liberty. These are our swords and our shields as we head into battle in the upcoming presidential campaign. I say: Let’s run a campaign that hits them hard where they are weak and insecure and where we are strong and solid.
In this campaign, I want to raise people’s vision to a higher level — to the level of thinking that went into such grand and glorious achievements as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. One of my aims would be to have every American discussing and debating such questions as: Why do Libertarians say that we aren’t free? What is the real meaning of freedom? What do we need to do to achieve a genuinely free society? What is the legitimate role of government in a free society? What were the good founding principles of America? How did our nation get off course with its welfare-warfare, paternalistic, and interventionist way of life? What do we need to do to get our nation back on the right track?
The way I figure it, if we can get people to thinking at that higher level, we will have a very realistic chance of attracting large numbers of people to our cause and our campaign.
I say: Let’s go for it all in this 2020 presidential race. Let’s not settle for reform or incremental improvements in our serfdom existence. Instead, let’s go all in and commit ourselves 100 percent to achieving what we all long for — a genuinely free society.
Let’s not wait another 10, 20, or 30 years to achieve freedom. Let’s go for liberty now! Let’s run a presidential campaign this year that makes the bold, principled, honest, and genuine case to our fellow Americans for a free society.
Our party platform states: “Our goal is nothing more nor less than a world set free in our lifetime, and it is to this end that we take these stands.”
Let’s achieve our goal now, in my lifetime. Let’s run a campaign of principle for the Party of Principle.
I want to be free. I want everyone to be free. That’s why I am seeking our party’s nomination for president of the United States.
Yours for liberty,
Are you a Delegate?
Let Jacob know you support him for the Libertarian Party presidential nomination.
